What is included in the High Tea experience?

Your $68 ticket includes a full high tea service with sweets and savouries, plus admission to explore Laurier House.

Do you offer gluten-free options?

Yes, gluten-free options are available by request only, with at least one week’s notice.
Please note:

  • All baked goods, including gluten-free items, are prepared in the same kitchen.
  • We cannot guarantee a completely gluten-free environment.
  • Guests with severe sensitivities or celiac disease should take this into consideration.

What are the seating times?

We offer three seating times: 10:30 AM, 12:30 PM, and 2:30 PM.

Where is Laurier House and why is it special?

Laurier House is a National Historic Site in downtown Ottawa, home to Sir Wilfrid Laurier and William Lyon Mackenzie King, two of Canada’s longest-serving prime ministers.

Is parking available?

Please note that we do not provide dedicated parking.

What if there are no available slots? Can I join a waitlist?

Yes! You can add yourself to the waitlist directly on the High Tea reservation page:

  1. Scroll down to the Libro reservation system.
  2. Select your desired date.
  3. If no seats are available, click “Request to be notified if a spot becomes available for [your date]”.
  4. Fill out your information.
    You will receive a notification if a spot opens due to a cancellation.

Do you accommodate vegan diets or severe allergies?

We cannot accommodate:

  • Vegan diets
  • Egg allergies
  • Dairy allergies

Please include all dietary restrictions, allergies, and preferences when making your reservation so we can do our best to assist with your request.

Do you accommodate infants or toddlers who need highchairs

Yes, but please note:

  • Seating is limited to a maximum of 4 guests per table, and all guests (including children) must be counted in your reservation.
  • We cannot provide highchairs due to limited space.

Do you have accessible entrance?

Yes, Laurier House has an accessible entrance.
When booking, please include a note in your reservation so we can be prepared to assist you.

Do you accept walk-ins?

Yes! Walk-ins are accepted only if a table is available. However, due to the high demand for High Tea, we strongly recommend making a reservation in advance.
We cannot guarantee seating for walk-ins.

Can we be seated earlier if we arrive before our reservation time

No. Guests will be seatedonly at their reserved seating time.
If you arrive early, we kindly ask that you wait until your scheduled seating begins.

Do I need to provide a credit card to book, and will I be charged?

Yes, a credit card is required to secure your reservation. No charge or hold will be placed at the time of booking. However, if you cancel less than 2 days before your reservation or do not show up, a fee of $10 per guest will be charged. If you are using an AMEX card, a temporary $1 authorization may appear as part of the verification process, but this amount will not be charged to your card.
